Sunday 22nd. The weather had been dry all week until Friday when we had intended to borrow the rotavator. Then of course we woke up to rain! The weekend wasn't good either but we managed to squeeze in planting the fig tree in between showers. Mind you we've had very little rain compared with the North West. They've had huge floods in Cockermouth, taking out bridges and filling the high street to almost 8 feet. We must live in the dryest part of Britain.
I'm a bit worried about the size the fig tree could grow to, so I hope the bricks will be successful in limiting the growth. Watch this space.
